2. What scale and size should a factory scale model be made at?

Based on the factory scale model projects we have completed, we recommend a scale of 1/200 as suitable for most factories. The remaining cases depend on whether the factory is too large or too small, or on special usage requirements such as design simulation, air transport, or very limited display space.

3. What materials are used for factory scale models?

Model making is the work of simulating objects at a very small scale. The more details that can be simulated, the more vivid the scale model becomes. For factory scale models, there are two main types of objects – factory buildings and machinery/equipment – which have a very large contrast in size.

There are many material options for simulating factory buildings, such as foam, alu, or paper. At Bac Viet Models, we use Chochen acrylic for the building blocks and specialized plastic materials to simulate corrugated metal roofs – materials that are not easy to purchase.

Machinery and equipment are usually precision laser-cut and assembled from imported materials that have superior fire resistance and moisture resistance compared to paper or foam materials. Alternatively, they can be simulated in 3D and printed using ultra-fine, ultra-sharp SLA 3D printing technology.

4. Our process for making factory scale models.

To ensure the work proceeds smoothly, we apply a standard process for all factories.

The on-site photo-taking step helps us easily grasp the factory design andentify details that differ from the design drawings.

3D modeling helps customers visualize the finished product. In this step, customers can also add or remove details compared to reality.

Throughout the entire process, we continuously report progress and send product photos so that you can fully control the execution of your order.
